Oval Coiled Basket Tray (Digital PDF Pattern)
I love a good coiled basket, and this little oval might be my favorite one yet. It is short and wide, more of a tray than a basket, which makes it the perfect landing spot for keys, jewelry, crochet hooks, remotes, or whatever odds and ends are currently piling up on your counter with no home of their own.
This is an easy project. Coiling is about as beginner friendly as crafting gets (no hook, no needles, nothing fussy), and I take you through the whole thing step by step with a photo for every single one. If you have been wanting to try coiling, this is a great place to start.
Here is what is included:
- 25 page PDF pattern with a full color photo for every step
- Clear written instructions
- A link to the full video tutorial so you can follow along
- A complete supply list with links to the exact products I used
For mine I used 3/8 inch braided cotton rope as the filler, Bobbiny 3 mm macrame cord, and a skein of Lovebird Superwash Merino in Candy Shop from Purl Soho (that is the colorful soft part, and it is dreamy).
Finished size lands around 10 inches by 7.5 inches and about 2 inches tall. Yours may vary a smidge, but it'll be in that ballpark.
This is an instant digital download, so you will get your pattern right away. Nothing will be mailed to you.
Note: The free pattern for this basket is also on my website supported with ads.
